Cookies & device storage

Information stored on your device

Browser storage helps provide sign-in, remember your choices and recover work. This notice covers local storage, session storage and cached pages as well as cookies.

1. Portal sign-in

The portal uses Google Firebase Authentication to manage your signed-in session. Authentication state is held in browser session storage, with memory used if storage is unavailable. Sign out when you finish, especially on a shared device. Session storage normally ends when the tab or browser session closes; browser session restoration may retain it.

2. Preferences and saved work

  • Appearance: local storage remembers your portal colour theme and whether the venue overview is collapsed. These settings remain until replaced or site data is cleared.
  • Invoice drafts: choosing to save a draft stores it on that device for your account until replaced or deleted. Bank details are excluded from the saved draft. Use the invoice draft delete control to remove it.
  • Equipment-check recovery: work in progress can be stored locally to help recover an interrupted check. The local copy is removed when the check is submitted or handed over; unfinished copies can remain until cleared. Server-saved checks are separate.
  • Clinical draft recovery: the ePCR uses session storage for a temporary recovery copy. Recovery is account-specific and limited to 12 hours; expired recovery data is rejected when checked. Use authorised devices and sign out after use. This is not a substitute for saving the record.

3. Public offline pages

The website can cache selected public pages and brand assets for use when the connection is unavailable. Cached copies are refreshed when a page is successfully loaded online or the cache version changes. The public-page cache does not cache portal pages or API responses. An offline page may be out of date.

4. Advertising and analytics

ADAPT has not added advertising pixels or visitor analytics tags to the website application. If these are introduced, this notice and the relevant controls will be updated, and consent will be requested where required before they operate.

5. Your controls

You can remove site data through your browser settings and delete invoice drafts in the portal. Clearing site data may sign you out, reset preferences and remove unfinished local work; save necessary work first. Blocking storage may prevent sign-in or recovery features from working. On shared devices, signing out is important and does not necessarily remove every locally saved draft.
